There will be a crossover happening in “The Originals” Season 5 as Nina Dobrev is about to come to reprise her role as Tatia. With that, fans are now waiting who among from the characters of “The Vampire Diaries” are going to grace its spin-off series.

There are swirling rumors that Stefan Salvatore will come back to life and appear in the upcoming television series. However, Paul Wesley himself denied the assumptions, putting his character to rest.

Wesley’s refusal

"I don't think so. I think Stefan has been laid to rest," Paul Wesley told TV Guide.

To recall, “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 ended with the death of Stefan Salvatore. The cured vampire sacrificed himself for the good of everyone. Thus, when someone pitched the idea of his character to get back to life in “The Originals” Season 5, he simply refused it.

The 34-year-old actor explained that he is trying to avoid doing vampire roles that he has been doing for the past eight years. Thus, it is quite impossible that he will reprise his character or do a crossover in the spin-off series. He also added that he won’t be doing any kind of supernatural shows for the time being. The “Fallen” star revealed that he wants to venture out doing different things aside from starring fantasy series.

A reasonable opinion

Moreover, Siver Times reported that Paul Wesley’s refusal to appear in “The Originals” Season 5 is the right thing to do.

If ever he agrees to bring Stefan Salvatore to life, he will just ruin the essence of his death in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8. However, aside from him, there are a lot of characters from The Original supernatural drama that could crossover in the spin-off series.

In fact, in an interview with E! News, the show’s executive Julie Plec revealed that there are a lot of stars that could do the crossover. She even teased that they are now thinking of a clever way to incorporate the “TVD” mythology to the spin-off TV series. It will be started by the coming of Nina Dobrev as Tatia in the fifth season’s fifth episode with a “little nice storyline.”

SDCC 2017

Meanwhile, the cast members of “The Originals” Season 5 are going to grace the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2017 at San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.

Fans are expecting to know who will be the next villain the show’s protagonists are going to face. After the epic finale of the previous season, fans are about to see the return of the spin-off series’ fifth chapter in 2018 on The CW.
