"Teen Wolf" premiered on MTV in 2011, and is loosely based on the Michael J. Fox film of the same name. The series follows teenager Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) when he's bitten one night by a werewolf. With the help of his best friend, Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Scott goes up against hunters and supernatural beings, and deals with the pains of growing up. 6A focuses on the disappearance of Stiles by the Wild Hunt. In order to save his best friend, Scott turns to his friends, Lydia (Holland Roden), Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), Malia (Shelley Hennig), and Mason (Khylin Rhambo).

The first half leaves off with the core characters going their separate ways, which puts Liam and Mason in charge.

Several returns are coming

Ever since Dylan O'Brien's shortened appearance in 6A, fans have wondered if the beloved character will be seen in the remaining episodes. That fear has been put to rest after a trailer confirming he will be back and the actor's surprise arrival at San Diego Comic Con. Stiles won't be the only character returning. Also seen in the trailer is the arrival of Jackson (Colton Haynes) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), along with Ethan (Charlie Carver), Scott's father (Matthew Del Negro), and confirmation that favorite villain, Theo (Cody Christian) will still be around.

Several fan favorites won't be returning to "Teen Wolf," including Allison (Crystal Reed), and Kira (Arden Cho), and it's safe to assume that Keahu Kahuanui won't be returning as Danny who disappeared from the show a few seasons back. Victoria Moroles won't be returning for 6B and has been teased by Dylan Sprayberry and Jeff Davis that Hayden has left Liam.

Fear will play a large role this season

Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) returns as the season's villain, bringing the show back to its root as Gerard is leading a group of hunters in a war against werewolves and other supernatural beings. Jeff Davis teases a creature that will feed on fear and will be used by Gerard to turn Beacon Hills against Scott and his friends, making the town a more dangerous place.

Davis adds that the creature digging up old fears allows them an excuse to bring back old friends. Shelley Hennig teases that this is the most these characters have ever been afraid. The next episodes will go into what Davis refers to as Liam's "Achilles heel of anger," and will be diving into his anger issues as well as his fear of Scott leaving.

New ships on the way

Mason (Khylin Rhambo) will be forced to work alongside Theo (Cody Christian), which the actor teases will have interesting results. It's unclear what's in store for Mason and Corey (Michael Johnston), but the trailer shows Corey outed as a supernatural being after a student stabs him in the hand with a pen and he immediately heals.

Colton Haynes and Charlie Carver tease that fans will have a bunch of new ships to adore, with Haynes adding that a new harbor will be needed. Fans have been speculating about the relationship between Ethan and Jackson after the two show up at the high school together.

Melissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio) and Chris Argent (J.R. Bourne) began a sort of relationship in 6A, but Jeff Davis is mum on what is in store for them. Though, the trailer does reveal another couple happening that has shocked fans: Scott and Malia. This relationship will be something that they have to figure out, and how that'll work into their relationship with Stiles. Colton Haynes shares that Jackson has grown since season 2, and has learned to open his heart to people. Haynes continues with sharing about a nice awkward scene with Stiles and Lydia.

"Teen Wolf" premieres tomorrow on MTV.
