More than a true Marvel blockbuster, "Spider-man: Homecoming" also offered breakout roles for some lesser-known but great actors to grace the big screen. Tom Holland admits that he is one of the people who got famous because of the movie — so much so that he "needed help" dealing with popularity. He got help, of course, as he actually called one of his co-actors to give him advice with regard to "dealing with fame." He called Zendaya, who played Michelle ("my friends call me MJ") in the superhero film.

This, among other reasons, was what fueled the news that there is something going on between Tom and Zendaya.

And indeed, it has been reported by People magazine that the two started dating each other while filming for "Spider-man: Homecoming."

Holland and Zendaya: an on-set romance?

“They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man,” a source told People.

The source adds that both Holland and Zendaya are trying hard to keep their relationship out of the public spotlight. Of course, it's really hard to keep a relationship under wraps when both have been traveling to various vacations spots together and just generally spending more time with each other. So, not surprisingly, fans and the media caught up and the relationship is out of the bag now.

In any case, it's good that the relationship seems to be working out really well for the couple.

According to another source, both Holland and Zendaya "challenge each other," as they have a very similar sense of humor. Say what you want about couples, but it's nice to be able to laugh at one another's jokes. Holland and Zendaya seem to be one of those couples who can have hours of fun with some back-and-forth banter.

Zendaya teaches Holland a thing or two about fame

“We are like the best of friends. She’s so great and amazing,” says Holland. He also mentioned how Zendaya has helped him navigate the world of fame. Of course, Holland has already had a lot of acting experience before "Spider-man: Homecoming," but it was only thanks to the superhero film that his brand as an actor really shone.

Being that Zendaya is more accustomed to the spotlight than he was, there's no better "fame coach" than her co-star and girlfriend.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are not the first Spider-man actors to begin dating while filming for the superhero franchise. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, who played as Parker and MJ Watson for the first big screen adaptation, also dated. So did Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone while they were playing a couple for "The Amazing Spider-Man."
