“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will hit the big screen soon but for now fans lived off of watching the trailers over and over again until the official release date. While the teasers gave away a lot of important details about the new Spidey movie, the third one did make a lot of people confused.
In “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer 3, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will be seen being informed by his very own robot assistant that his suit has 576 web shooter combinations. The young superhero was extremely ecstatic by his upgraded suit that was built by the famous genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist himself, Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).
Tony Stark builts new suit for Peter Parker
Since Iron Man is basically the king of making superhero suits, fans expect nothing less from the Avenger when he built one for Peter Parker. While many are excited to know about what these web shooter combinations will look like, the newest TV ad revealed that the number has significantly dropped from 576 to 78 web shooter combinations. So what happened to the 498?
The answer to the confusion will surely be understood when “Spider-Man: Homecoming” finally launches on July 7, 2017. But for now, a report suggests that there’s a high possibility that the 78 web shooter combinations are readily available for Peter Parker, but he has yet to unlock the other 498 hidden features.
Another possible angle is that Tony Stark may still not trust Peter Parker fully, so he didn’t give him full access to all 576 web shooter combinations. The lack of trust has been made clear over time and time again on the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailers especially when Spidey himself complained that his mentor should stop treating him like a kid.
Is 'Iron Man 4' happening soon?
Meanwhile, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is the first time fans have seen Robert Downey Jr. in his famous red suit after “Captain America: Civil War.” Talks of “Iron Man 4” has been flooding the Internet for quite some time, but nothing much was said about Tony Stark’s highly-anticipated new solo film.
The only thing that made fans hopeful that “Iron Man 4” is certainly happening is when Robert Downey Jr. himself confirmed its existence to Ellen DeGeneres on the Ellen show. However, when Marvel released their slots for Phase 3, “Iron Man 4” was nowhere to be found. Since there were three unnamed movies slated on 2020, fans have been crossing their fingers that RDJ's film will be one of them.
