"Real Housewives of Orange County" star, Kelly Dodd, was reportedly attacked by a man on the Fourth of July who tried robbing her. However, she fought right back to protect herself. Known for her moxie on "RHOC," Dodd proved she's no one to mess with, as one bold thief discovered.

Man tries stealing from Housewives star

TMZ reports that Kelly Dodd was partying with some of her friends at Descanso Beach Club on Catalina Island when a "random guy" attempted to swipe her drinks, sunglasses, and purse. Dodd went after the thief to confront him and that's when it got physical.

The man punched her in the stomach and she fought back by kicking and yelling at him. Some of the footage was captured on TMZ's video in which security stepped in. Footage of physical violence wasn't recorded in the video, but Kelly was screaming at a guy wearing a red shirt. The confrontation did pick up the attention of party-goers in the clip. Several words were exchanged before the man in question had to leave.

According to the report, the man who attacked Kelly Dodd was booted from the party, but he tried coming back. The report didn't detail what happened afterward other than to say that cops weren't called.

Kelly hasn't addressed incident on social media

Kelly hasn't addressed the Fourth of July incident on her social media accounts, but it may change now that the traumatic event has been publicized -- though the "RHOC" cast member didn't appear traumatized at all. She held her own quite well and wasn't about to back down from the man who allegedly tried taking her drinks and belongings.

"RHOC" season 12 will consist of more drama with Kelly Dodd and the rest of the cast. The show will begin in less than a week and fans can't wait to see what they have in store. The dynamics will switch up a bit with the addition of two more housewives and the loss of Heather Dubrow.
