Fans are being asked to pick

Will Peter be the next "Bachelor" for the 2018 season?

Reality Steve believes he's got all the things producers want and fans definitely like him. One of the show's producers, Mike Fleiss, is on a mission to gauge the public's interest in who'll be the next "Bachelor" because he posted the question on Twitter. Over 1,000 responses have come in with fans voicing their picks. Who do they want as the next guy, and which surprising names are popping up?

Fan responses to producer's tweet

Among some of the responses was an overwhelming interest in making Peter Kraus "The Bachelor" pick for 2018. One of the very first to respond to the tweet was DeMario Jackson, who just had his name dragged through the mud in the "Bachelor in Paradise" investigation over misconduct allegations.

"The Bachelorette" alum was kicked off Rachel Lindsay's season for allegedly having a girlfriend when he joined the show. He weighed in on Mike Fleiss' tweet by saying that he wants to see Dean Unglert get the lead for 2018. He wrote in a second tweet that he got to know him personally when the cameras weren't rolling and said that he's a "genuine" and "classy" guy.

Who were some of the other nominations for the next "Bachelor?" There were some requests for Kenny "King" Layne, Wells Adams, Chase McNary, and a few want Luke Pell -- who was informed at the last minute that he wasn't "The Bachelor" for 2017 because producers decided to give it to Nick Viall.

A few people joked that Chris Harrison should be the next "Bachelor." Some would like to see a fresh face as the lead next season, but that hasn't happened in a long time.

For those who aren't convinced who Rachel picks at the end of her season, several fans want Bryan Abasolo as the next "Bachelor." The overwhelming majority, however, told Fleiss they want Peter or Dean as the lead.
