Marvel's "Ant-man and the Wasp" is back with a revelation of new casting additions. Recently, Marvel Studios took the stage at San-Diego Comic-con to talk about the sequel to the comic movie. The press con showed off some initial scenes of the movie and made some major announcements about the casting of the sequel, including Michelle Pfeiffer as the original Wasp, who will be playing the role of Jane Van Dyne.

Another actor crossing over from DC to Marvel

Although it has been quite some time since Michelle Pfeiffer played the role of "Cat woman," many are saying that her playing as Janet Van Dyne is another mark of another actor who transfers from DC to Marvel.

Pfeiffer is known to have captivated the audiences on her portrayal of "Cat woman." Many critics are saying that Pfeiffer will always be associated with her DC comic role since her portrayal, and the costume she wore during it, have grown to be beloved by many years ever since.

Before the announcement, the character of "Janet Van Dyne" has been already rumored to be added in the story, but no actress had been confirmed. Many actresses are suspected to get the role, including Sharon Stone, but no one expected that Pfeiffer would get it.

Additional characters were also announced

According to the Hollywood Reporter, another actor will be also joining the film besides Michelle Pfeiffer. Laurence Fishburne was announced to be in the sequel portraying the role of the comic book hero Giant Man, "Bill Foster." Fishburne will be playing the role of a doctor with powers similar to Hank Pym's of increasing size and mass to gigantic proportions.

Along with Fishburne and Pfeiffer, Hannah John-Kamen was also announced to join the comic movie as "Ghost." The character was first introduced as a villain in "Iron Man" and was part of the "Thunderbolts team" in the movie.The character's origin was still not revealed, but we can identify her character wearing a strong battle suit.

The character of "Ghost" is a brilliant inventor and a skilled hacker. Another casting addition was also introduced in the person of Randall Park playing as Agent Jomyy Woo.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp" is currently filming and scheduled to be seen in big screen on July 6, 2018. This movie will be the first movie after the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Since this news has been released, fans have been speculating how these famous actors would portray their characters. Surely, this would be one of the most-awaited movies in 2018.
