Fans are set to see Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe together again in the upcoming “Outlander” Season 3 as it is set to premiere in September. Recently, STARZ finally announced the official premiere date of the series’ third installment.
Premiere date and more spoilers finally revealed
Goldderby reported that “Outlander” Season 3 will start airing on Sunday, September 10, 2017, on Starz. Avid followers of the series will finally see Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe on the small screen again after waiting for more than a year since the second installment came to an end.
The up and coming third installment is set to focus on the separation and reunion of Jamie (Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Balfe). Based on the third “Outlander” book of Diana Gabaldon called the “Voyager,” the imminent season will consist of a total of thirteen episodes.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have spent approximately a year shooting all the scenes of “Outlander” Season 3. The cast and crew first went to Scotland and later transferred to South Africa to film the last few episodes.
In a nutshell, the forthcoming third season will be featuring distraught Jamie and Claire who were separated by time. Balfe’s character will be bearing her first child with Heughan’s Jamie Fraser but she will be raising it with her husband Frank (Tobias Menzies).
While Jamie Fraser tries to survive and deal with the reverberation of the Culloden battle, Claire will be living in the 1960s along with husband Frank and her baby. Despite this, the characters of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are expected to get reunited in the latter part of the “Outlander” Season 3.
Jamie and Claire to have more steamy bed scenes
Meanwhile, Balfe previously confessed to Vanity Fair that Jamie and Claire Fraser would be having more hot moments after their reunion. According to Heughan’s leading lady in “Outlander” Season 3, fans should brace themselves as they could be witnessing more love-making scenes in the imminent installment.
“Maybe [fans will] have to wait a little bit, but I don’t think the sex is going to be as scarce as last season, shall we say?” Balfe stated. However, Heugha previously hinted that they had been facing some quandaries in filming these steamy bed scenes.
While most fans think that both Catriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are enjoying their love scenes together, the “Outlander” Season 3 lead actor said that doing the intimate parts are technically difficult. Despite this, the boyfriend of MacKenzie Mauzy shared that he enjoys working with his leading lady very much. Stay tuned for more news and updates!
