"Despacito" surpassed Justin Bieber's "Sorry" for the number one position in the US, UK, and Australian charts, reported by Universal Music Group.
Luis' "Despacito,"-- including all of its mixes -- received 4.6 billion plays globally, according to The Telegraph. Bieber's "Sorry" is No. 2 with 4.38 billion streams, and, with 4.07 billion plays "Shape of You" is No. 3.
The Spanish meaning of Despacito is "slowly, " but the song streamed out very fast and achieved the tag of most played song. The song was the first Spanish song on "VEVO" which got 5.5 million views in just one day and also the first Spanish language song which crossed 220 million hits in 22 days. It is also the fastest music video which achieved 2.6 billion hits on YouTube in just 154 days.

Before the global success of Despacito, Fonsi had scored six number one singles in Latin America. But the song became famous after Justin Bieber added its verse, according to BBC.
