This year's San Diego Comic Con was a treat for Marvel fans, who got a first look at several upcoming MCU films. This includes the exciting new trailer for "Thor: Ragnarok," as well as a look at "Avengers: Infinity War," which will hit theaters next year. One of the most noticeable things the newly released poster for "Infinity War" is Captain America's (Chris Evans) new look. In it, he sports longer, messier hair, as well as a full beard. Also noticeable is Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who traded her signature red hair for what looks like platinum blonde.

The upcoming Joe and Anthony Russo-directed film is slated to see the end in some of our favorite Avengers, and some have assumed that it might see the end to Captain America, who may hand over his shield to Bucky Barnes or the Winter Soldier as with the comics. But despite the imminent deaths expected in the upcoming massive superhero film, the directors guarantee that just like other Marvel films, this one will have humor and heart.

Joe and Anthony Russo talk about high stakes

In a recent interview with MTV, "Avengers: Infinity War" director Joe Russo hinted that some heroes may find see the end of their road in the Upcoming Film. Russo issued a warning for fans who are heavily invested in the Avengers: Be prepared for some heartbreaking deaths.

He explained that some journeys have to "have an end at some point in order for it to have value." This is an omen, if anything, and fans should prepare themselves to part with their favorites come May next year, when the film will be released. It's highly unlikely that anyone from "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Black Panther," and "Spider-Man" will see their demise, given that these franchises have more movies down the line to complete.

The characters who are in trouble are the older ones, though—Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk. Even Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch are in trouble, as viewers have seen just how easily Quicksilver was tossed.

Kevin Feige promises humor and heart

Despite the inevitable deaths of some of our favorite superheroes, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige promises that the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" will have both humor and heart, which is very much what the studio is all about anyway.

As per ComicBook, Feige promised that the upcoming massive superhero film will be just like its predecessors in the sense that it will have both "humor" and "heart." He also promised that the film will be "emotional for a lot of different reasons." "Avengers: Infinity War" blasts into theaters on May 4, 2018, with a sequel on May 3, 2019.
