"A Wrinkle In Time" was directed by Ava DuVernay who is best known for her work on the film "Selma". The movie is based on the book of the same name by author Madeleine L’Engle. The science fiction movie follows the character Meg as she searches for her father with a troupe of companions. Meg's father is lost in darkness

The plot of the movie surrounds character Meg Murray as she sets out to find her missing father. Chris Pine takes on the role of Meg's father, Dr.

Alexander Murray. He has discovered the truth about time and space travel. He discovers how to travel between planets through the 5th dimension and because of this he becomes a target. He is kidnapped and it is up to his daughter Meg to find him.

14-year old Meg sets out with her brother and her classmate to find her father. Pine's character is described as being trapped in darkness. On their travels, the kids encounter three witches. They also end up in several different planes of existence where they discover a dark creature known as The Black Thing. The Black Thing is the movies personification of evil and the plot becomes embroiled in the sense of good and bad.

DuVernay has hired a stellar cast

When casting for "A Wrinkle In Time," the director wanted to have a movie that represented everyone. This led to a diverse cast with an abundance of talent. The famous Oprah Winfrey is to star in the movie alongside Chris Pine, who recently starred in "Wonder Woman." Storm Reid acted previously in the award winning motion picture "12 Years a Slave."

Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Mindy Kaling portray Mrs.

Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, the three witches who help the children on their journey. The trailer reveals the full makeup of these cast members and they look spectacular. The team does a realistic job of creating these fantastical people. The screen play was written by Jennifer Lee who has previous experience with Disney movies as she worked on "Frozen".

This is not the first time that "A Wrinkle in Time" has been made into an adaptation. Back in 2004, a movie was made by ABC. It has also been turned into an opera, a graphic novel, and a play. The plot is one that captures the imagination and clearly resonates well with the audience.

"A Wrinkle in Time" will be distributed by Disney. It will be available in theaters in the US on March 9, 2018. Fans of the novel can look forwards to seeing their favorite characters in this most recent adaptation.
