"90 Day Fiance" star Anfisa Arkhipchenko is fed up with people bashing her for hitting her husband Jorge twice on their reality show. The 20-year-old reality star from Russia defended herself on Instagram, claiming that she - not Jorge - is a victim of domestic violence.
Anfisa slaps Jorge on "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" Season 2
Viewers have expressed their shock and disapproval over how Anfisa is treating Jorge in the reality show. Twice now, she has been caught physically hitting Jorge in the middle of their fights.
The first time this happened was during the second episode of "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" Season 2.
Anfisa has just learned that Jorge was in debt, so she asked Jorge for a post-nuptial agreement. While at their lawyers' office, the couple had a heated argument which resulted in Anfisa losing her temper and lunging at Jorge. In last Sunday's episode, Anfisa struck Jorge once again during another one of their crazy fights.
Fans of the show pointed out that such action qualifies as spousal abuse. In fact, if the situation was reversed and Jorge was the one who hit her, he'd be facing legal charges now for sure.

Anfisa speaks out and defends herself
As if answering the viewers' comments, Anfisa posted a screenshot of a "90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?" episode on her Instagram account on Wednesday.
In the photo's caption, she stated that there are many forms of domestic violence. One of which, she wrote, was "financial abuse."
"Did you guys know that neglecting your spouse and having total control of money (financial abuse) in a relationship is considered domestic violence?" Anfisa wrote in the caption.
In her post, the Russian native wondered why American audiences are totally ignoring this fact.
She added that perhaps she should "bring more awareness" on this matter.

Fans react
Anfisa's Instagram post was met with more than 1,000 comments from the show's fans, and most of them are not happy.
Some called Anfisa a "brat," while others even asked her to go back to Russia.
"Did you know hitting your husband is considered domestic violence? You should be deported," one user commented. Many chimed in, pointing out that Anfisa not only physically hurt Jorge, she is also verbally abusive for the way she screams and shouts at him.
Others called TLC to take immediate action, citing Amber Portwood of MTV's "Teen Mom" as a comparison. Portwood was charged with two felonies and misdemeanor charges after MTV aired an episode showing the reality star hitting her fiance. So far, TLC has not commented on the issue.
