"Whaboom Guy," whose real name is Lucas Yancey, has been on Talk Shows since his elimination from Season 13 of "The Bachelorette" last Monday night. His first interview was on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. He also appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and said he was surprised and disappointed that he was eliminated.
On Friday, he appeared on iHeart radio's "The Domenick Nati Show" where he shared more information about his experience on the reality show. Some of what he said did not surprise fans. Some people wondered why Yancey wasn't eliminated sooner.
Rachel Lindsay explained that she knew he wasn't right for her, but she wanted to get to know him better, and it added a different dynamic to the reality show.
Confessions
Yancey admitted that he was looking for something more than falling in love and getting a wife. He added that it was about 50 percent for love and about 50 percent for fame. He was on a mission to let people know about "Whaboom." The 30-year-old competitor also confessed that he knew he wasn't the right guy for Rachel, but he named two who might be.
He said men on the show have already begun to fall for Rachel. He thought Josiah Graham and Peter Kraus might be good for the 32-year-old Dallas, Texas native. Before exiting the show, he told Rachel that Josiah would be good for her.
Yancey also pointed out that Lee Garrett has a chip on his shoulder.
Lucas called Chad Johnson a bully and said he lied about trademarking "Whaboom" and selling it to him. Johnson was a contestant on Season 12 of "The Bachelorette." He told Entertainment Tonight that after heading Lucas use the word, he trademarked it and sold it to Lucas.
During the radio interview, Lucas was asked if he shakes his head and yells out "Whaboom" during sexual encounters, and he said he didn't.
What's next?
Lucas says he wants to be on "Dancing with the Stars." The ABC executive just might call him even though they usually get the winner of "The Bachelor" to appear on the show. Contestants from "The Bachelorette" and "The Bachelor" include Nick Viall, Chris Soules, Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe and Melissa Rycroft.
Research into his background did show that he loves to dance. Fans would surely be curious to see how Lucas would act if he did become a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars."
As a reminder, "The Bachelorette" will not be seen on ABC next week because of Game 5 of the NBA Finals. A new episode will air on June 19, 2017.
