The reason why "Stranger Things" season 2 will not air until Halloween is because it's going to be darker. This is what Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) confirmed, despite vague details from cast and even the series creators. With this, lots of time is left to spoil fans about what the gang is up to in Season 2. The cast is set to return to Hawkins, Indiana as more information are revealed about the Upside Down. Meanwhile, the stars of the show have once again gathered to celebrate the Netflix series' FYSee event.
What to expect on 'Stranger Things' season 2
"I do think that this season is going to be a lot darker, a lot bigger, a lot faster-paced, and there is a lot of scares, and there is a lot of humor. It is just a very different flavor" Harbour said to E! News. He added that his character will be into lots of stress. Fans have to take note that the lab will continue to operate after what happened last season.
Moreover, the story picks up one year later and lots of people in the town are still unaware of the incident. Also, Chief Hopper will play a part in Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) return. As of now, her reemergence is a major mystery. On the other hand, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) is not doing well after surviving the Upside Down.
From Will's well-being, the young character is basically not in the good shape. Schnapp revealed that there will be lots of emotional scenes this season, which challenged his capability as a young actor. In addition, the series will dive deep into Will's story and how his terrifying experience has affected him. As for Finn Wolfhard, Schnapp's young co-star who plays Mike Wheeler explained that Will is not a total human anymore.
While they try to figure out a way for him to recover, viewers can expect Will's tough times as he finds out his true identity. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer are not revealing details as well about the new monster, or should we say Demogorgon's successor. Ross explained that the new monster will not just last for one season.
Therefore, they consider it as the show's main villain.
