We are just a few weeks away from the release of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which promises to break the records of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Wonder Woman” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.”
The marketing and social media campaigns for the movie are at their peak – and “Spider-Man: Homecoming” got a new TV spot last night to create excitement among fans. Marvel Studios has joined hands with Sony Pictures for this mega-budget movie. The two studios teamed up with Disney XD for a 20-minute TV spot (A Guide to Spider-Man: Homecoming).
What does the new trailer depict?
The new teaser trailer for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” features all main characters of the story, including Zendaya, Tom Holland, Jon Favreau, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Tyne Daly, Robert Downe and Donald Glover. From the creepy action sequences to onscreen chemistry of Zendaya and Tom Holland, the clip covers several sections of the movie. Though you can find plenty of new posters and footage on the internet, this new TV spot of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” looks far better than the others as it shows who is going to play the leads in this film.
Zendaya’s character unveiled
There have had been a lot of rumors regarding the character of Zendaya in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Directed and co-produced by Robert Downey Jr.
and Michael Keaton, this film will hit the theaters on July 7, 2017. From this clip, we are clear that Zandaya is not playing a supporting character in the movie. She is, instead, the love interest of Tom Holland.
The two meet under different circumstances and fall in love. Despite all problems and controversies, they are not ready to quit on each other.
The trailer ends with a scene of Donald Glover, creating excitement among fans. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is one of the most anticipated superhero movies of the year. It is based on the MCU character of the same name; Sony Pictures Releasing acquires the US and Canadian distribution rights of the film.
Early projections reveal that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” will gross at least $45 million in its opening weekend and over $800 million during its theoretical run.
If it happens, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” may break the box office records of “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and “Wonder Woman.” Some analysts even claim that this film will touch the $1 billion mark during its theoretical run, giving tough competition to the Gal Gadot movie.
"Homecoming" will be released in IMAX 3D and DVD formats, and a sequel is scheduled for July 5, 2019.
