The long-running wedding rumors about Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are finally over. Following a bunch of speculations claiming that the engaged couple will be tying the knot for real, the singer's mother Tish Cyrus was quick to debunk the false reports about the "Malibu" singer and her fiance.

In October 2016, the "Hannah Montana" star revealed that they were once again engaged. Shortly after the news rolled out in the headlines, rumor has it that the power couple is reportedly ready to say each other's 'I do' anytime soon. However, Tish said that Miley and Liam are not rushing to get married yet despite being currently engaged.

"She is not getting married"

During her recent radio show interview with Mario Lopez on Wednesday, June 21, the 50-year old producer has spoken up about the real score behind Miley and Liam's plans of getting married. Tish Cyrus said that her daughter is genuinely happy with the "Last Song" actor and that does not come from just getting married.

Despite the fact that the two went through numerous breakups before, Miley's mom said that the two are still "freaking happy." She said, "She's so happy, and she's always like, 'I don't know why everybody wants us to get married. It's so perfect."

Furthermore, the "So Undercover" star did not miss out saying that her 24-year old daughter is "still young" and she's got all the time for everything.

It is not known yet if the love birds will be pulling off the big day anytime next year, but Tish's statements are pretty clear that the wedding is not going to be carried out this year.

What can we expect from Miley and Liam's wedding?

Unlike most weddings of big-named celebrities that are usually big and extravagant, Tish Cyrus believes that Miley will likely have a small wedding.

Though she would love more to see her kids with a big wedding, she still thinks that the pop star would prefer to have a simpler one.

The mother of five further explained that though she would love big weddings for all of her children, she said that the undemanding personality of the singer-songwriter would definitely be a mismatch for big weddings.

"I don't think, no. She's a simple, simple girl. I don't think so. I want all my kids to have big weddings."

While fans are currently on the lookout for the couple's big day, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have yet to reveal the plans about their wedding and if the preparations are really underway. With this, everything will remain under wraps until the couple gives the final say.
