"The Originals" season 4 will be landing one more episode before its finale, which means that the hit supernatural series will be moving to Season 5 real soon. The last two episodes will be fully wrapped this month and though not much was hinted about the fifth installment after the network confirmed its renewal, tons of predictions about what can be in store are expected to be underway.
In fact, several rumors about "The Originals" season 5 are becoming more and more rampant in the headlines as of late. While there's definitely a lot of worth-reading theories and spoilers made by fans shortly after the new franchise was confirmed, one of the most talked about is the speculated reunion of Caroline Forbes (Candice King) and Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), who had a short yet unforgettable romance in "The Vampire Diaries."
Will Caroline join the new season?
Not too long after "The Vampire Diaries" ended its run after season 8 back March this year, show runner and producer Julie Plec was quick to give her say about the possibility of putting crossover characters in "The Originals" season 4, which was about to premiere at the time.
After dropping a few hints, the fuzzy talk about Caroline and Klaus have since been making a frenzy with reports claiming that the two will be rekindling their short romance in "The Originals" future. Amid strong speculations, King and Morgan have kept 'mum' about the real score and none of them issued a statement to confirm if these claims were true.
However, a new report from Digital Spy claimed that Plec has reportedly dropped hints about the anticipated Caroline-Klaus reunion, unintentionally. "Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline are running the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted where Hope Mikael... S**t never mind. Keep watching!" she said.
Though Plec's statements sounded pretty unintentional, many fans were still quick to fill up earlier speculations about Caroline possibly joining "The Originals" in the future.
As to which season this favorite character will make the anticipated appearance, remains a mystery until The CW will give the green light.
Aside from Alaric, who else will visit New Orleans?
While not too many details were hinted after The CW confirmed another season for "The Originals", many are now guessing who else from "The Vampire Diaries" will be visiting New Orleans following Alaric's appearance in the current season.
Aside from rumors saying that Caroline might be the newest member of the series as it moves closer to season 5, it has also been speculated that a few characters from TVD might also come into view in the future. Is this true? As much as everyone hopes to see their favorite TVD characters in "The Originals" future, even Caroline's appearance has still yet to be confirmed so everything will remain under wraps for the time being.
