Beyonce’s dad, Mathew Knowles, has announced via Twitter that the pop star has given birth to twins, upsetting the daughter's fan base on the social media platform.

Knowles tweet was an official announcement of his daughter's recent delivery. Celebrity parents often adopt similar strategies to gain maximum coverage on social media, but Knowles seemed genuinely excited about becoming a grandfather, although he's rumored to have a complicated relationship with both his wife and daughter.

To some fans on social media, the tweet seemed odd because it was Beyonce's father who announced the news, and not her directly and Mathew’s tweet generated an instant backlash with fans saying that he has no right to interfere in his daughter's personal life.

Instead, the Beyhive is waiting for a bigger announcement, maybe hoping for Beyonce and Jay-Z to share their babies’ picture as soon as possible.

Neither Jay-Z nor Beyonce immediately responded to request for comments. The stars are currently busy enjoying time with their little ones. Even Beyonce’s Twitter account, which has up to 13 million followers, has been silent since last year. Rumors of her pregnancy went into overdrive when a young lady clicked Beyonce entering a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday with a card that reads "B+J."
