The famous actor, Tom Hardy, is cast as Eddie Brock in a new thriller “Venom.” We will see whether Hardy does a better job in “Venom” than Topher Grace in “Spider-Man 3” or not.

Previously, we heard that Marvel had joined hands with Sony for “Venom” and the movie is based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name. And now, it is being said that the film will be darker than other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are chances that it will have a hard R-rating.

Tom Hardy in Ruben Fleischer’s ‘Venom’ film

Directed by Ruben Fleischer and written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, “Venom” is being financed by Sony and Marvel, and Tom is set to play the leading character in this film.

Previously, he was in the news for the smashing success of “Bronson,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Reverence.” This comes courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, which confirms that the film will swing into theaters on October 5, 2018.

The studio is currently busy in the post-production of a Black Cat film directed by Chris Yost, who wrote “Thor: Ragnarok.” Once it wraps, Sony will start pre-production of “Venom.” There is no information about the other cast members.

Born in September 1977, Tom Hardy is a famous film producer and actor. He is best known for his works in “Black Hawk Down,” “Star Trek: Nemesis,” “RocknRolla,” “Bronson,” “Warrior,” “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” “Lawless,” “Locke,” “The Drop,” “The Revenant,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Legend,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Dunkirk.” Hardy's television roles include “Band of Brothers,” “The Virgin Queen,” “Wuthering Heights,” “The Take,” “Peaky Blinders,” and “Taboo.”

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom said that he’s very excited about “Venom” and will try to give his best.

Though the film is scheduled for October 2018, the actor will regularly upload movie posters on the official Twitter and Instagram to create excitement among fans.

Is it a remake of 2005 film?

In 2005, another film “Venom” hit the global cinemas and grossed over $440 million at the box office.

It features Agnes Bruckner, Method Man, Laura Ramsey, Jonathan Jackson, Meagan Good, and D. J. Cotrona. It was the final Dimension Films release to be distributed by Disney.

Bijou Phillips, Davetta Sherwood, and Stacey Travis played the supporting characters in the film. “Venom” marked the re-teaming of screenplay writer Kevin Williamson and director Jim Gillespie, who previously helmed Williamson's script for “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” We are confused about whether Tom Hardy-starring movie is a remake of the 2005 project or not. To this, the officials have refused to comment anything.
