Netflix heroes unite in the new motion posters for “The Defenders.”

The upcoming show features Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, and all these characters are shown in the motion posters. The first teaser trailer for the series was released last week, and Marvel launched a new marketing site that offers more backstory details about “The Defenders.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show creator, Douglas Petrie, revealed that all "Defenders" heroes have supernatural powers. They are genius enough to face the challenges happily.

Previously, the characters were misunderstood by viewers. This is why new motion posters and full-length trailers have been released so that more and more people get attracted towards the show.

‘The Defenders’ – a Marvel series

Marvel and Douglas Petie have developed “The Defenders” for Netflix, with Marco Ramirez serving as executive producer. “The Defenders” is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is partially financed by ABC Studios, with Ramirez and Kristen serving as showrunners.

It features Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Finn Jones, Elodie Yung, and Matt Murdock.

All stars reprise their roles from the previous season. The new season consists of ten episodes and is scheduled for August 2017. A few months after the event of “Iron Fist,” Jones, Cage, Fist, and Daredevil team up in New York City to fight against a group of criminals, The Hand. Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Rosario Dawson, and Jessica Henwick play the supporting characters in “The Defenders.”

The production, design, and filming

In September 2013, Deadline reported that Marvel was interested in a brand new miniseries, with Netflix, WGN, and Amazon expressing interest.

A few months later, it was revealed that the studio had joined hands with Disney and ABC Studios for a live-action series centered around Luke, Daredevil, Jessica, and Iron.

Stephanie Maslansky serves as the costume designer for “The Defenders.” Previously, he served as the visual effects supervisor for another series of Netflix.

Filming began in New York City, and several scenes are shot in areas of Long Island City and Brooklyn. The production took place under the working title “Group Therapy.”

Earlier this year, John Paesano was selected as the composer for “The Defenders,” after previously composing the two seasons of “Daredevil.” The miniseries is being promoted through full-length trailers and stills. Marvel’s motion posters are shared on the official social media accounts, while Netflix is using Twitter to share series updates.
