The rumor mill is once again filled with “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” assumptions as the known Making Star Wars website revealed another possible plotline. This involves Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).

But before that, there are alleged gears the Jedi Knight is taking with him as he returns to the Resistance. These gadgets are said to be the ones he will be using on his journey to battle against the dark side that he got from his stay on Ahch-To.

The compass

According to the aforementioned website’s chief editor Jason Ward, Luke has an intergalactic compass that can navigate the galaxy.

This gear will play a big part on his journey off the planet in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

Ward described the compass as a something very special for its intricate design that hints it is naturally Jedi. It is like a box with a blue marble-like orb on the top. Whenever Luke moves his hand over the orb, the box will open to reveal its hidden compass inside.

The box’s interior is made of metallic dials with Aurebesh writing that indicates the space version of North, South, East, and West. It also has a needle that will point the way he would take. However, when one looks at that compass, some might think if it is indeed special or just another accessory he has.

Luke’s other gears

Luke also possesses a walking stick that can electroshock other small creatures.

He, too, is carrying an orange backpack that has a bottle of water inside. The bag and the walking stick also play important parts while he is traveling in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

The backpack is said to have a net and kindling strapped on the back while the prod is portrayed to be something like that can zap a pest casually.

It is described to be nestling on Luke’s belt replacing his lightsaber.

Luke vs. Snoke

Although the gears Luke will be having remain assumptions, there are strong rumors that he will go his separate way from the Resistance to travel with Rey (Daisy Ridley) to face Snoke and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). It has been rumored before that Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) will be having a one-on-one battle with the Force-sensitive male humanoid alien.

But now, there is an assumption that at the end of the film, this might be his way to finally accept his fate as the Jedi Knight, instead of being the fighter who always refuse to go on a battle and trying to bring the institution down. However, fans should only take this with a grain of salt as Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to confirm this storyline.
