Niall Horan might have his own blooming career now, but he is still looking forward to his former band, One Direction, to get reunited. In fact, he is willing to drop everything that he is doing if there will be a reunion between him, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.

However, the 23-year-old star is hoping for the reunion to happen sooner than later, when he still feels young. In a new interview with Billboard, he talked about his dreams to be with his bandmates once again and how he terribly misses their bond.

Horan misses traveling with Payne, Malik, Styles, Tomlinson

It looks like Horan is having a hard time to get used in performing alone as he is accustomed to playing with his groupmates Payne, Malik, Styles, and Tomlinson. To recall, One Direction was formed in 2010 in the singing competition series “The X-Factor” then went on a hiatus in 2016.

Performing solo also makes him terribly missed his group, especially when he is traveling. This even makes him question himself “where is everyone?” every now and then. He even gives a scenario where he is sitting in an airport lounge, then somebody will call him to get onboard, but he still needs to wait for everyone in the group. “You know?’Oh, Louis'll be back from the toilet in a minute,'" he recalled.

A debt of gratitude

Moreover, Horan recently revealed that they come up with the decision for One Direction to take a break because of the very demanding and exhausting schedule. He, along with Payne, Malik, Styles, and Tomlinson are also looking forward to having their own careers and do their own things.

However, although he is now busy taking his own path, he is still hoping that there will be a reunion happening.

As a matter of fact, although there are no plans yet, he already told his managers that whenever the group calls him, he will definitely drop everything and join them.

He doesn’t care if he already sold out tickets at different arenas or even about to win a couple of Grammys because he won’t be experiencing this entire thing if it is not for his band.

But, he is not yet sure when they will get reunited once again. “When it will be, I don't know,” he said.

Horan trying to get near One Direction’s success

Meanwhile, Horan prefers the One Direction reunion to happen when he is still young and not when he is already 40 years old. “I'd prefer the next few years," he disclosed. However, he admitted they haven’t even had a proper talk how long their hiatus will be.

And although he now has his solo career, he actually promoting his second single “Slow Hands,” he perfectly knows he will have a hard time to attain the same level of success and the global phenomenon the band has. "Nothing I do will be as big as One Direction, but I have to try at least to get somewhere near it", he said.
