Just a few moments ago, new, interesting details were revealed about the next game being released by The Pokémon Company. According to information filtered by a source close to Nintendo, the company is working on an upcoming mobile game, which will revolutionize the world of video games. The Wall Street Journal has announced that according to its sources, The Pokémon Company is already working on a mobile game titled "Pokémon Trading Card Game" for mobile devices, which will be launched very soon.
The new TCG to be released
Undoubtedly, “Pokemon GO” has revolutionized the world of video games, attracting millions of players to the exciting app.
Over the course of the last year since its initial launch,“Pokemon GO" has certainly revolutionized the world of augmented reality gaming, and mobile gaming in general. Having a virtual Trading Card Game certainly seems like the next viable step. The Pokemon TCG has been popular over the course of the last 20 years or so as a physical card game. Now, however, with many companies like Blizzard Entertainment and others entering the virtual card game arena, it makes sense that the widely popular TCG would go from physical to virtual as well.
What will the format be?
The Nintendo Company has not fully confirmed the features and format of the game. However, it has been speculated that the format of the original, physical game will be moved to this new digital version.
It will certainly be a nostalgia trip for many, and with current technology allowing for this style and format, it certainly makes sense that the game will transfer just as well virtually, if not better.
An interesting fact to take into account is that the Pokemon Company will introduce a large number of Legendary Pokemon -- as well as Shiny Pokemon currently found in "Pokemon GO" and initially found in the physical trading card game as well. So, that is certainly something to look forward to.
This is all the information known so far. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
