KCON New York 2017, or #KCON17NY, is less than two months away and K-pop fans on the East Coast of the U.S. can't wait. Earlier this month, we reported that UP10TION and KNK would be joining CNBlue, Twice, GFriend, Highlight, and SF9 in a star-studded lineup. Now we know who will finalize the lineup at KCON New York 2017: #NCT127 and #ZionT.

Finalized lineup

NCT 127 and Zion.T were officially announced for KCON New York 2017 last Thursday, May 4, They made it known that the two would finalize the lineup, meaning that it will consist of nine K-pop acts for this coming event.

Both NCT 127 and Zion.T will definitely bring the house down when they perform. Starting with NCT 127, they are a sub-unit of a unique boy band known as NCT. Formed under SM Entertainment back in 2016, NCT is SM President Lee Soo Man's experimental group centered around his Neo Culture Technology idea. The boy band consists of an "infinite number of members" who are drafted into sub-units. NCT 127 is the second sub-group made right after NCT U and before NCT Dream.

For NCT 127, the sub-unit's concept is to only have members born in Seoul. Initially, they had seven members, Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, and Haechan when they made their debut with with extended play (EP) "NCT #127," featuring the title track "Fire Truck."

About six months later, NCT 127 would make their comeback with their second EP "Limitless" featuring a title track of the same name.

With this comeback, two new members, Johnny and Doyoung, would be introduced.

As for Kim Hae Sol, better known by his stage name Zion.T, he stands out among the rest of the KCON New York 2017 lineup as the only soloist. Making his debut back in 2011, Zion.T quickly made an impact, collaborating with Korean hip hop artists such as Dok2, Crucial Star, Simon D, Primary, and Gray.

Eventually, he was signed on with Amoeba Culture in 2013.

Zion.T's most successful year was back in 2015. Though he did not release any albums at the time, he was the second-best selling musical act right behind Big Bang. He had two number one singles that year, "Just" (featuring Crush), and "No Make Up."

In 2016, Zion.T would sign with The Black Label, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment.

Under them, he would release his second EP titled "OO" featuring the title track "The Song." The album topped the charts at number eight and sold almost 4,000 copies while its title track topped the charts at number one and had over 726,000 downloads.

KCON 2017 New York goes down on June 23 and 24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Concert tickets will go on sale very soon on May 12 while convention tickets will go on sale on May 19.
