Following early rumors that spread online last month, the actor Michael Colter announced that the second season of “Luke Cage” will be shot on May 7, 2017.
He has confirmed through a tweet that the series will premiere in December 2018. Most of the scenes will be shot in Edinburgh, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. Michael also hints at the characters of Shades, Mariah Dillard, and Diamondback, saying that they may return from the first season.
A popular television show
“Luke Cage,” is one of the most popular web television programs. Cheo Hodari Coker has created the show for Netflix, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The program features Mahershala Ali, Erik LaRay, Theo Rossi, Simone Missick, Alfre Woodard, and Rosario Dawson. Development of the first season began in 2013, with Coker serving as the showrunner.
Michael Colter reveals that the series focuses on a courageous man, Luke, who attempts to rebuild his life in Harlem. But it’s not easy as he has to face a lot of problems. Meanwhile, Luke prepares himself for a battle in the heart of his city.
The technical team behind ‘Luke Cage’
Stephanie Maslansky designed costumes for “Jessica Jones,” and “Daredevil.” He is recruited as a costume designer for “Luke Cage.” Visual effects will be completed by FuseFX, with Anderson serving as the visual effects assistant. In April 2017, Ali Shaheed and Adrian Younge were recruited to compose the score for the series. Ali and Adrian say that they took inspiration from Ennio Morricone, and Wu-Tang Clan, for the new season of “Luke Cage.”
