The "Dancing With The Stars" season finale is a two-night event, starting with the finals dances on May 22 and followed by the 2.5 hour finale on May 23. What time do the finals start on Monday and Tuesday night and who will take home the Season 24 Mirrorball trophy?

"Dancing with the Stars" start time

The first night of the "DWTS" Finals Week begins at 8 p.m. ET on Monday night. It's a dance-filled hour with the final three couples performing two rounds of dancing each during the one hour show.

The second night will not only feature the popular 24-hour Fusion Dances, but there will be several musical performances as well.

Fans can expect to see One Republic, Lady Antebellum, and Hailee Steinfeld up on stage in the ABC ballroom. ABC also notes that there will be a dance performance by Nicole Scherzinger and Colt Prattesto to "Do You Love Me? from ABC's "Dirty Dancing."

Finals dances

The three finalists for this season are Rashad Jennings, David Ross, and Normani Kordei. On Monday night, all three couples with dance Redemption Style and Freestyle dances.

The couples will earn scores from the judges and fans can vote for their favorite couple online, on Facebook, or by phone. The scores and votes will carry over to Tuesday night's finale where the couples will earn extra points for their 24-Hour Fusion dances.

Fans can vote for their favorite celebrity on Monday by phone up until one hour after the night one ends (9 p.m.

ET). Online votes can be placed on ABC's website or on the official "Dancing with the Stars" Facebook page. Phone numbers for each couple are posted on the screen after each couple dances.

Who is favored to become the Season 24 champion?

Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy, Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater, and David Ross and Lindsay Arnold are all hoping to take home the "DWTS" Season 24 Mirrorball trophy.

Unfortunately, there's only one trophy — all three couples deserve to win!

There is speculation that Normani Kordei will be crowned the winner, but Rashad Jennings has been a top contender all season. After last week's shocking elimination of Simone Biles, anything can happen.

TV Line initially predicted that it would be a race to the finish between Simone Biles and Heather Morris, but we all know how that turned out.

Pop Crush polled almost 3,000 fans this week, asking them who they thought would win the "DWTS" Season 24 Mirrorball trophy. The results, so far, show Normani and Val with 72 percent of the vote, Rashad and Emma (20 percent), and David and Lindsay in last place with less than 8 percent of the vote.
