The 70th Cannes Film Festival started on May 17, 2017, and there is much to get inspired from. The fest features dozens of films. For the first time, several Bollywood filmmakers are invited to the grand ceremony, including Karan Johar, Payal Kapadia, and others. As always, Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone are forefronts at the event.
Aishwarya Rai, who first went to the Cannes Film Festival with “Devdas” in 2002, presents the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film at the event.
The actress walked the red carpet as a L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador. Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone also attended the ceremony and wore outstanding outfits. Deepika Padukone is an international ambassador of L’Oreal and Fair & Lovely. She walks the red carpet as a representative of both brands. Sonam, Padukone, Julianne Moore and Eva Longoria got their dresses designed by the same fashion designer.

“Baywatch” beauty Priyanka Chopra is set to produce her first film, “Pahuna.” The story revolves around three Nepali children who get separated from their parents while feeling the Maoist agitation from Nepal.
Priyanka says that “Pahuna” is all about love, strength, courage, and patients of the children. The film depicts the struggles of children in a weird society and how it becomes difficult for them to survive without any financial support.

Directed by Payal Kapadia, “Afternoon Clouds” is screened at the film festival.
The story revolves around a college student who faces a lot of problems in his life. For the first time, an FTII film has been selected for a prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
