“The Voice” Season 12 comes to a close and it looks like a couple of its most favorite coaches are about to say goodbye. The two female judges of the reality talent show, Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani, already announced their exits and it seems this saddens, nobody else but, Blake Shelton.

The 40-year-old country singer is still in denial that her fellow trainers are going to leave the long-running television series. In fact, he is not buying their farewells and refuses to believe.

Keys, Shelton tease each other

In a Facebook Live interview on Entertainment Tonight, Keys said that Shelton sees him as his great competitor, thus he might be happy to see her leaving “The Voice.” And now that she is saying goodbye, the “God gave me You” hitmaker doesn’t have to feel stress and pressure anymore that he has to work with her again.

"I've looked ahead," the former husband of Miranda Lambert said. He even compared their exit to “Harry Potter” movies where the favorite characters will be gone for a little while and will come back in a moment. He also joked that he already see the script of Keys and she will surely return.

On the other hand, the “Fallin’” hitmaker also said that his girlfriend, Stefani, is also coming back on the show and she is jokingly hoping that she will replace Shelton. Although she didn’t mention his name, she pointed her finger at him and laughed. "I've been trying to get fired for years now," Shelton jokingly said. He even added that he doesn’t know what to do anymore to finally get fired and leave the show like Stefani and Keys.

Stefani helps build Shelton’s pride

On the serious note, Shelton admitted that he loves being on Stefani’s side. The “Came Here to Forget” singer confessed that being together with the No Doubt hitmaker somehow builds his ego. However, it also crashes his pride knowing that people are actually cheering for her and not for him.

“You realize it's not you, it's her!” he said.

New coaches replacing Keys, Stefani

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson are the ones who are going to replace Keys and Stefani in “The Voice” Season 13. And it looks like Shelton has something to say with the new inclusions. In fact, he is happy that it is not Miley Cyrus who is going to join him and Adam Levine next season because of her nonstop talking.

He described the partner of Liam Hemsworth as the person who talks the most in the history of their show. He, too, is thankful that Clarkson and Cyrus didn’t come in the same season because it will definitely make his head fall off if that happens cause they will be talking constantly.
