Summer movie season has already begun. This year, Universal Studios is forefront with its mega-budget film “Fast and the Furious.”
We are happy to say that several short movies and full-length Hollywood movies are set to release from July to August. These include “Baywatch,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” and “Dunkirk.” It seems that movies of all genres will hit the theaters by the end of summer, including comedy, horror, drama, and live-action.
‘Baywatch’ – the film
“Baywatch” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. This action-comedy is directed by none other than Seth Gordon. The story is inspired by a TV series of the same name. The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, and Ilfenesh Hadera. The film is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2017, by Paramount Pictures.
Most of the scenes have been shot in California, Georgia, Savannah, and Miami.
‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ – a superhero movie
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is another highly-anticipated film of the season. It is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and a joint project of Marvel Studios and Columbia Pictures. Upon its release in July, the film will be distributed by Sony Pictures. It is the sixteenth movie of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and a reboot of the “Spider-Man” film series.
In February 2016, Marvel and Sony joined hands to share the rights of the famous character, Spider-Man. The studios decided to integrate the character into big-budget Hollywood films.
‘Dunkirk’ – a war movie
“Dunkirk” is an upcoming film directed, co-produced and written by Christopher Nolan. The scenes have been shot in the United States, France, and England. It will hit a theater near you in the third week of July 2017. The story is about several soldiers who have been surrounded by the German Army on the beach of Dunkirk.
