"The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale airs on Sunday night and a deleted scene from the last episode of the season will have everyone thinking about breakfast and obsessing over who dies during the last episode of the season. That's right — pancakes with blueberries are the meal of choice for Sasha who gets served a smiley-faced pancake by Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
What is this, an IHOP commercial? Not quite — unless your local IHOP is filled with zombies. The deleted scene was revealed by Entertainment Weekly and shows Negan delivering the pancakes to "his favorite prisoner" Sasha, but is it her last meal?
A hint of what's to come
"Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life, Sasha," Negan says as he delivers her a plate of pancakes in the deleted scene. He goes on to tell Sasha that he knows the residents of Alexandria are "plotting against him" and reveals what he has in mind for them. There's no word on why AMC nixed the scene, especially since the episode is titled, "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life" but it does give fans a hint at what's to come on Sunday night.
Negan's plans
Negan tells Sasha that he wants her to help him get "things back on track" and goes on to compliment her, telling her she's "smart, hot as hell, and dignified as s**t." He then tells her that no one wants to watch her die, but someone else will see their fate— maybe a couple others, but not Sasha.
Not so fast, Negan .... rumor has it that Sasha might be a goner on the Season 7 finale.
Pancakes and goodbyes
Will blueberry pancakes be Sasha's last meal? According to Us Weekly, Sasha (played by Sonequa Martin-Green) will "almost definitely" die. Almost definitely? That doesn't sound like a sure thing but it sounds like that's the direction the show is going unless something shocking happens.
Us Weekly points out that Sonequa Martin-Green will be joining the next "Star Trek" TV series and that means she will have little time to continue her role as Sasha on "The Walking Dead."
So, unless she's going to juggle her schedule and film both series, there is a good chance fans will see her character, Sasha eat her last meal during Sunday's "TWD" finale.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 finale airs Sunday, April 2 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
