The last time the Barden Bellas from “Pitch Perfect” were involved in a riff-off, they were disqualified based on a technicality. But they are back for another series and will sing their Final Song in the third installment. “Pitch Perfect 3” is set to hit the theaters this December. According to Digital Spy, it will be the last outing for the popular Hana Mae Lee, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Ester Dean, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, Brittany Snow, Chrissie Fit and Anna Kendrick.

The screenwriter Kay Cannon reveals that the Bellas have decided to move on, which is why “Pitch Perfect 3” is their final collaboration.

While the plot details are undisclosed, we do know that the Bellas will again face off with a rival group in a competition. The rival acapella group, Dew, features Andy Allo and Ruby Rose.

Is the new project an end of the Bellas?

We are slightly unhappy to know that “Pitch Perfect 3” is an end of the Bellas. This upcoming comedy film is directed by Trish Sie, with dialogues penned by Mike White, and Dana Fox. It is a direct sequel to 2015 blockbuster film “Pitch Perfect 2” and the third installment in the “Pitch Perfect.” The movie is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2017.

Anna, Rebel, Brittany, Hailee, Alexis, and Hana portray Beca, Patricia, Chloe, Emily, Stacie, and Lilly, respectively.

John Michael Higgins is returning as John Smith from the previous installment, and Ruby Rose plays Gail Abernathy. On April 11, 2016, it was announced that the Bellas would continue working in “Pitch Perfect” installments. But now the story is entirely different and they refuse to comment anything on the matter.

Possibility for another installment

Director and actor Elizabeth Banks acknowledged the possibility of the fourth installment during the shooting of “Pitch Perfect 3,” saying that it would be great to prepare another installment but there are some budget issues. As soon as the issues are resolved, they will begin shooting for the fourth installment.

Hopefully, “Pitch Perfect 4” will be in theaters by 2020.

The Barden Bellas is a cappella group at Barden University. Georgia is their homeland, but the group trips to different parts of the country for concerts. Under Beca's leadership, the Bellas won three ICCA championship titles in a row. As of 2016, the Bellas are working on three new video albums. Their Facebook page says that the group was founded in 1989, but some of the group photos date before this.
