Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship is being measured by fans on the "Suits" actress’ attendance of Pippa Middleton’s wedding. Royal watchers may be disappointed to know that the American actress may not be present during the church wedding ceremony.
However, Markle is reported to be joining the evening celebration with Prince Harry by her side. The protocol does not allow unmarried and unengaged partners and guests to attend the formal ceremony. The "no ring, no bring" rule would satisfy Pippa’s wish of an intimate wedding.
Will Markle steal the limelight from the bride?
There has been a lot of speculation whether Markle would be invited to the wedding of the young Middleton, who is marrying the hedge-fund boss James Matthews on May 20. It was reported that the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister might be worried that the 35-year-old actress would unintentionally steal the limelight on her wedding day.
Recently, Prince Harry brought Markle to the wedding of his close friend Tom “Skippy” Inskip to Lara Hughes-Young in the Caribbean. “All eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week,” the source said. The situation was reportedly stressful to the prince as well. Carole, Kate Middleton’s mother, seems to wonder whether Prince Harry’s girlfriend might cause unnecessary chaos during the wedding ceremony.
Kate Middleton helps little sister prepare for upcoming wedding
Earlier this month, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen at the house of Pippa Middleton in West London. Shortly before the princess’ visit, Carole and Stephen Jones were also spotted at the bride-to-be’s house. Spencer Matthews, James’ younger brother, was also seen in a casual and non-royal look – ripped jeans and sleeveless jacket over a tee.
It is not yet clear who will be the best man at the wedding. James was reported to have missed the bachelor party.
Pippa’s wedding is a month away but it is not certain whether Kate will be the maid of honor or a bridesmaid. Even Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s roles as a page boy and one of the bridesmaid, respectively, are not officially confirmed.
Kate and Prince William met with the future bride and groom together with James’ parents and Spencer. Carole and Michael Middleton were not present but there is no doubt that they have no qualms about the wedding. Pippa’s invitation and Markle’s attendance might be a good sign that in the not-so-distant future, there will be another royal wedding.
