It would not be wrong to say that the television industry in Vancouver is booming these days. At least four television shows are reportedly being shot here, including “Chesapeake Shores,” “Beyond,” “Altered Carbon,” and “Haters Back Off.”

Aside from its natural beauty, Vancouver’s primary advantage is its top-notch studios, providing the directors with a chance to shoot their sitcoms and movies.

‘Chesapeake Shores’

With a proven history of production excellence, the city is well-regarded for its leading service industry. The second season of “Chesapeake Shores” is being shot on Vancouver Island.

It features Jesse Metcalf, Meghan Ory, and Barbara Niven. The series will premiere on July 18, 2017.

Chesapeake Shores” is a Canadian-American drama based on a novel of the same name by Sherryl Woods. Just like its first season, the new season is being produced by Chesapeake Shores S1 Productions and Borderline Distribution. The two-hour series will be aired on the Hallmark Channel. John Tinker is serving as an executive producer and showrunner. In January 2017, John announced that the second season would consist of ten episodes.

Just like “Chesapeake Shores,” the new season of “Beyond” is being filmed in North America.

It features Romy Rosemont, Burkley Duffield, and Michael McGrady. The show will premiere on August 16, 2017, on ABC. “Beyond” is a modern American drama by Adam Nussdorf.

Its story revolves around a man who is possessed of supernatural powers. After the success of its first season in November 2015, the network ordered new episodes and production began earlier this month.

Jonathan Whitesell, Jordan Calloway, and Dilan Gwyn are in the supporting roles.

‘Altered Carbon’

Altered Carbon” is a brand new television series by Netflix.

The cast includes Renee Elise Goldsberry, Joel Kinnaman, James Purefoy, and Martha Higareda. It will premiere on June 20, 2017. This highly-anticipated drama is based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Richard Morgan.

The series is being developed by Laeta Kalogridis and slated to debut on Netflix. Ten episodes have been ordered by Netflix, with a plan for another season in 2019. Miguel Sapochnik is serving as co-producer and director in the first two episodes.

‘Haters Back Off’
