Marvel recently released a new teaser trailer for its show “Cloak & Dagger.” At a glimpse, it looks like the series is all about romance and problems of teens. We see two best friends, Tandy and Tyrone, falling in love with each other. But they belong to varying backgrounds, with entirely different lifestyles. The story gets complicated when they get supernatural powers, and discover that the magic works only when they’re together.
Bringing superpowers to romance
“Cloak & Dagger” will bring supernatural powers to love. This is the first series of its kind that depicts how teens are forced to live together.
At first, they fall in love, but soon call it quit. To get benefited from their magic, Tandy and Tyrone forcefully live together. Their feelings for each other make it impossible for them to survive at a place.
Of course, “Cloak & Dagger” is not alone on freeform. Marvel recently announced that “New Warriors” will premiere on the network next year. The story of “New Warriors” revolves around Squirrel Girl and five other characters.
‘Cloak & Dagger’ – an anticipated show
“Cloak & Dagger” is created and developed by Joe Pokaski, based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name. Marvel and ABC Signature Studios have financed the project, with Pokaski serving as showrunner. The cast includes Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as Tandy and Tyrone, respectively.

Previously, a series of the same name and story was developed for ABC Family. In April 2016, Marvel received an order from Freeform to develop a brand new “Cloak & Dagger” with the better story and impressive visuals.
In addition to Olivia and Aubrey, the series features J.D. Evermore, Gloria Reuben, Andrea Roth, James Saito, Carl Lundstedt, and Miles Mussenden. Consisting of ten episodes, it will go on air in the first half of 2018.
Marketing of the project
Both Marvel and Freeform are busy in the marketing of this upcoming series. The first trailer was released yesterday, ahead of Freeform's 2017 upfront presentation.
The A.V. Club's president, William Hughes, described the teaser trailer as impressive and energetic. Another teaser trailer will be released this weekend, making it easy to assume that the series will get various teaser trailers by 2018.
