"The Bachelor" finale aired on ABC on Monday, March 13 with a predictable proposal. Bachelor Nation had already guessed that Nick Viall's fourth time in the show's franchise would end with him proposing to Vanessa Grimaldi instead of proposing to Raven Gates. Viewers say Raven is the lucky one because she isn't stuck with Nick. Besides, she is going to Mexico to compete on "Bachelor in Paradise" while Vanessa seems to be miserable with Nick when they appeared together on "After the Final Rose" show to discuss their engagement and future plans.

People magazine reported that the newly engaged couple admitted they already have fears about their relationship not working out. Both indicated that things have not been easy and they have had some bad days. Fans of the show knew that Vanessa was hesitant about accepting Nick's proposal. She prefers not moving from Canada where she is a special education teacher in Montreal.
When Chris Harrison interviewed Vanessa during the "After the Final Rose" show, she kept saying some days are better than others and she and Nick have their ups and downs while they are trying to get to know each other. When Harrison asked if they had set a wedding date, Vanessa said they are taking baby steps.

Bachelor Nation noticed that Nick and Vanessa displayed little genuine affection considering it was their official coming out appearance as newly engaged. Because of what was seen in Nick and Vanessa's body language and heard in what they said and didn't say, viewers have predicted that the couple will not stay together very long.
People on social media are guessing that they will separate within five months or less. Vanessa will probably stick with Nick through his assignment on "Dancing with the Stars." Then nobody will be surprised if she will ride into the sunset without Nick.
Vanessa seems to be more excited about her $100,000 Neil Lane ring than she does about Nick and their future together. Fans of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" said they have never before seen a couple who was so unloving, unsure and vague about the future of their relationship.
