Malia Obama is going blonde! Slowly but surely, the former First Daughter has been transitioning her post-White House look, adapting to that NYC lifestyle that everyone talks about. Malia has been working at the Weinstein Company as an intern and has changed up her look accordingly -- she looks like she's really becoming a New Yorker!

Malia rocks the balayage trend

The 18-year-old daughter of former President Barack Obama and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama was spotted in the Big Apple on Feb. 6 with her dark brunette hair looking very light at the ends.

If you look closely at the photos, it's easy to see that Malia Obama had a balayage (sometimes referred to as "hair painting) treatment done to lighten her hair and give her a natural highlighted look.

Former First Daughter gets the NYC style

Malia was wearing black leggings with a pair of black booties, easily adapting to the standard dress of the northeast! Getting out of a black livery car, Barack and Michelle's eldest daughter fit right in! She definitely has mastered that "get to work on Monday morning" look from head to toe!

On another morning, the paparazzi caught Malia (and her super trendy hair) wearing high-waisted jeans and a crop top. She paired the look with work boots and a long tan-colored coat.

Working for the man every night and day

After a summer internship working on the set of the HBO hit show "Girls," Malia Obama landed another pretty awesome gig.

As an intern at the Weinstein film studio, Obama is thought to be working in the marketing or development department. It is unclear exactly what the teen is doing but she seems to really enjoy working in the entertainment industry and is very fortunate to have landed such an incredible internship straight out of high school.

Malia has been given some incredible opportunities so far in her life and it appears as though she is taking full advantage!

Malia Obama is set to attend Harvard University in Massachusetts in the fall.
