"Dancing With The Stars" pros Maks Chmerkovskiy and his wife, Peta Murgatroyd are ready to return to the dance floor to compete for the Season 24 Mirrorball trophy. After welcoming their son, Shai, in early January, many "DWTS" fans were wondering if Maks and Peta would take the upcoming season off but the couple just announced that they are ready to get back in the ABC ballroom.
Maks and Peta appeared on Good Morning America (watch video below) to share the big news and they are both excited to compete against each other on the season that begins next month.
Next week, the entire "Dancing with the Stars" Season 24 cast will be revealed on GMA so the rumors about who's dancing will finally be put to rest (see the rumored list of celebs below) but the cast list is already off to a great start with the return of Maks and Peta.
Peta is nervous
During the GMA interview, Peta revealed that she is a bit nervous to get back to dancing but she's ready for the challenge. Maks bragged about all of his Mirrorball trophies that he proudly displays in their home but that doesn't scare Peta — she's on a mission to win this season.
"Yeah, it’s been some time," Peta said on Good Morning America, “I’m definitely a little bit nervous but I’m very excited to get back.
I’m definitely missed the dance floor. I haven’t been able to defend my title with Nyle."
Cast rumors
The cast reveal will take place on March 1 on Good Morning America, just a few weeks ahead of the March 20 season premiere. There are rumors that Mark Ballas will be back as a pro, but ABC has confirmed that Derek Hough will not return to the dance floor this season.
As far as celebrities go, here are the names of the stars who may be putting on their dancing shoes and competing for the Season 24 Mirrorball trophy.
Keep in mind, there are normally 12 celebrities on each season so not all of the celebs below will be part of "DWTS" Season 24. Of course, there's always a chance that the rumors are all untrue and we'll see a completely different cast — watch Good Morning America on March 1 to find out for sure!

There were previous rumors that "The Bachelor" star Nick Viall and former Today Show host Billy Bush would be joining the cast, but recent reports indicate that both men will not appear on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."
