"Dancing With The Stars" Season 24 is almost here and fans of the show are anticipating the upcoming cast announcement. We are a little over one month away from the show's premiere and rumors about the cast have certainly heated up over the past week or two.
'DWTS' Season 24 cast rumors
You've probably heard all kinds of things about the upcoming cast. The major names that have been thrown around include Billy Bush, Peyton Manning, Simone Biles, Ashley Benson, and Ricky Schroder. However, none of these celebs have been confirmed as the new season's "stars." As of now, there has not been any kind of official announcement about any rich and famous people busting out their dancing shoes.
List of pros gets a little longer
On Feb. 21, Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy announced that they will be returning to "Dancing With The Stars" for Season 24. Although the couple just welcomed a baby together (Shai Aleksander was born in January), they have decided that they both want to compete for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy!
Maks and Peta revealed the news on "Good Morning America" today. Peta explained that she thinks it will take a little while to get her body back into shape after being pregnant for nine months, but she is really looking forward to competing. Maks, of course, is ready to give his wife-to-be some serious competition and even teased her about winning the Mirror Ball the last time the two competed on the same season together.
Of course, the last time that Peta was on "DWTS," she won her season with partner Nyle DiMarco. She took the last season off and now she feels ready to get back into the dancing groove!
Who isn't coming back?
It has been confirmed that ballroom pro Derek Hough will not return to "Dancing With The Stars" for Season 24. Hough has inked a deal to star as a judge on Jennifer Lopez's new show, "World Of Dance."
The full cast of "Dancing With The Stars" will be revealed officially on "Good Morning America" on March 1. Who are you hoping to see on Season 24? Any good picks for Maks and Peta? Let us know in the comments section below!
