amal clooney is pregnant with twins! The international human rights lawyer and her husband, actor george clooney, have been blessed with news that they are expecting a baby boy and a baby girl later this year.
When is Amal's due date?
Rumors that Mrs. Clooney was pregnant have been circulating for several months. Ever since the two tied the knot it 2014, people have been wondering if having children was on their agenda. It has now been confirmed that Amal and George will become first-time parents in June! It's a role that Amal has wanted to take on for quite some time, but it's something very new for George -- he never wanted to have children until he met (and fell in love with) his wife.
George Clooney, from 'eternal bachelor' to 'dad'
George Clooney has always been fairly adamant about being independent and relying solely on himself for just about everything. Around Hollywood, the actor was known as the "eternal bachelor" and no one ever thought that he'd end up getting re-married (he divorced Talia Balsam in 1993), let alone have children. While Clooney dated various women (from Elisabetta Canalis to Stacy Keibler), there wasn't any woman who really did it for him -- until he met Amal. George admitted that Amal changed him and that he was open to procreating once he became a different version of himself.
Twins will be a challenge
It's no secret that becoming a first-time parent is hard work.
However, when you start thinking about multiples, the work involved does the exact same thing: It multiplies. George and Amal will have help, of course, but as two people solely focused on their respective careers for so long, becoming parents is certainly going to be a challenge for them both. As any parent will tell you, however, it will be one of the best, most rewarding challenges ever!
No word yet on where the Clooney's will decide to settle down, but they do own three homes; One in Los Angeles, one in England, and one in Italy. If one had to guess, the couple will probably settle down in England.
