Shraddha and Aditya Roy Kapoor are coming together once again in a romantic drama film “Ok Jaanu”, and box office is expecting that they will replicate the success of "Aashiqui 2" where the pair made their debut.

The movie is a remake of Tamil movie “Kanmani”, but director Shad Ali has added a lot more to give it an authentic Bollywood taste.

Movie to hit more than 1400 screens globally

The film was released on Jan 13, 2017, across India in more than 1400 screens nationally. The posters and the trailers of the movie have already given a preview of some hot romance and love chemistry, and the movie has already created a huge buzz across social media.

Twitter loaded with positive reviews from celebs and critics

If we trust the sources who says this film has already got 40% advance bookings, then good box office collections can be expected from the romantic musical drama.

The movie has an added advantage of great music given by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman and the numbers are already high on music charts.

First day public opinion

"Ok Jaanu" collects Rs 4.08 crores on its first day which is significantly low.

Critics have shown a decent view of the movie and a special screening was held for celebs and Bollywood seems mesmerised by Shad Ali.

Twitter was loaded with celebrity views about the film who found the romantic chemistry of the couple fabulous and Naseeruddin Shah as always remained favorite with his terrific performance in the movie.

'Ok Jaanu' trailer gets 18 million views

The movie shows the duo's journey from casual flirting to falling in passionate love threaded along the music by AR Rahman has no doubt got positive reactions so far.

But box office collections remain not as sure as both Aditya, and Shraddha does not enjoy that stardom which can pull the audience to the screens in their names.

Both gave a hit earlier, but their ventures did not earn much.

Box-office clash

Shraddha’s "Baaghi" and "Rock On 2", did the opening collections of Rs 12 crores and Rs 2 crores respectively and Aditya’s “Fitoor” with Katrina was a box-office tragedy.

Moreover, the film faces fierce competition from Deepika and Vin diesel’s “xXx: Return Of Xander Cage” and a Karan Johar and Mani Ratnam venture releasing on a good number of screens.

The 'Humma' song gets 70 million views on Youtube

With “Kabil” and “Raees” (starring Hrithik and Shahrukh respectively) hitting the global screens in two weeks, “Ok Jaanu” needs to move very fast in the opening itself to get decent collections.
