"Days Of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that a new character is headed to Salem, and fans believe that it may be a long, lost Kiriakis who will definitely shake things up for the family, especially Sonny. According to Soap Hub, "DOOL" recently put out a casting call for a new character whose name is Alex. Alex is said to be in his 30's and has been traveling the world for the past ten years amassing a small fortune. Alex's success has given him a "cocky confidence" to return to Salem with a plan to challenge his family for control of the business.
Alex is also described as being a "bit of a playboy like his dad used to be."
Alex Kiriakis headed to Salem?
So, who is Alex? Well, "Days of Our Lives" fans have seen a few Alex's in the course of the show. However, the one that seems to fit the bill would be Justin Kiriakis' illegitimate son. As many longtime "DOOL" fans may remember, Justin had an affair with Jack Deveraux's step-mother, Angelica, back in the 1980s. The affair led to Angelica getting pregnant with Justin's child, a son named Alex. However, fans of the soap haven't seen or heard anything about the mother or son in many, many years. Is Alex headed back to shake things up with his family?
Sibling rivalry to take center stage
If Alex is, in fact, Alex Kiriakis, he would be Sonny's half-brother.
As "Days of Our Lives" viewers know, Sonny has returned to Salem to take a more significant role in his family's business. The return of Alex, who would obviously want to have his hands in the family business, would not only be huge for Sonny but also likely cause a huge sibling rivalry. As previously reported, "DOOL" fans are about to see Steve and Ava's long-lost son, Tripp, make his way to Salem to spar with Steve's youngest son, Joey.
It looks like Joey and Sonny will have a very similar situation to deal with in the very near future.
