On Sunday night, the midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" aired on AMC Networks. A lot of things happened, including Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finding out that Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) made a bullet for Rosita (Christian Serratos). Instead of killing Negan, the bullet struck Lucille, which infuriated the "TWD" villain. By the end of the episode, Negan took Eugene back to the Sanctuary. What will happen to him there? Creator Robert Kirkman recently spoke about the character and what to expect.
Rosita's actions affect others
Rosita made Eugene Porter make her one bullet, which was intended for Negan.
Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) tried to talk some sense into her. He explained that they need to wait for the right time and it needs to be done together. In an impulsive move, she shot at Negan, but missed hitting him. Instead, she shot his beloved baseball bat, Lucille. Her actions not only caused Eugene's kidnapping and Olivia's death, but Negan and the Saviors are going to make things even worse for Alexandria.
What are Negan's plans for Eugene?
Right now, Negan doesn't know that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) escaped the Sanctuary. Eugene isn't exactly a soldier and can barely survive on his own. However, it wouldn't be smart for the "TWD" villain to kill Eugene. In the apocalypse, ammo is hard to come by.
The Saviors have a lot of guns, but they are useless without bullets. Negan will probably put him to work, forcing him to make ammunition.
Eugene will evolve in 'The Walking Dead'
On "Talking Dead," Robert Kirkman appeared as a guest. He explained that Josh McDermitt's character is evolving. Although he is still the weakest member of the group, he is showing more guts than he ever has before.
Fans were reminded that Eugene took responsibility for making the bullet. This is not something he would have done in the past.
What will happen to Eugene on 'The Walking Dead'?
Negan will probably spend some time psychologically terrorizing Eugene. He will also put him to work. Eugene is book smart, but is not mentally or emotionally strong.
Will he completely break down before Alexandria can win the war? Will he accept his new life and do what he is told? Or, will he get stronger and surprise everyone with his upcoming "evolution"?
