It has been rumored for months that in season 4 of The Originals, Klaus Mikaelson will be saved by his daughter, Hope. However, actor Joseph Morgan teased in an interview that it might be the opposite. Could Klaus and Hayley's child end up destroying the vampire?
The time jump in 'The Originals'
When The Originals premieres next year on The CW network, there will be a 5-year time jump. Klaus Mikaelson will still be comatose in a secret tomb. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will be trying to raise a child while searching for a cure. Hope will not be a baby anymore, but a 7-year-old girl.
A lot has changed in New Orleans and for Hayley, Hope, and the other characters. However, things have been at a standstill for Klaus since Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) put him in a coma, then hid the vampire in a tomb.
How Klaus will react to seeing an older Hope Mikaelson
At Comic-Con 2016, Joseph Morgan was asked how Klaus would react to seeing his daughter after five years. The actor believes that he will be nervous and wants Hope to know that everything was done to protect her.
In the trailer for The Originals, Hope Mikaelson asks Hayley if they are going to get her father. The young girl must be anxious to see him, but will he be the person that Hope is expecting? Will she be disappointed or see characteristics or behavior that she doesn't like?
Will Hope save or destroy Klaus Mikaelson?
TV Insider interviewed Joseph Morgan and asked questions regarding season 4. Even though a popular speculation is Hope will redeem Klaus, the actor teased something surprising. He pondered if Hope would really save her father or if she would end up destroying him. This is an interesting statement, but one that is possible.
Hope is probably strong with great powers. At her age, does she know how to control them? Does the little girl realize that her emotions must remain stable or bad things can happen? Or will Klaus' destruction occur because of something unforgivable he does to Hope or someone she cares about?
