Stassi Schroeder and Jax Taylor may not be the first people that come to mind when one thinks of politics, but last night, both Vanderpump Rules stars weighed in on the 2016 Republic National Convention. Their reactions, however, were very different. On Twitter, as the convention kicked off, Stassi Schroeder posted a screenshot of Donald Trump's wife, Melania, and told fans she was unsure of whether or not she was "emotionally/mentally stable enough" for a "hot" First Lady. Meanwhile, Taylor criticized the looks of Melania by noting the resemblance between Trump's wife and Caitlyn Jenner.

According to Taylor's tweet, his message was in response to former Hills star Spencer Pratt.

Before Taylor's message comparing Melania to the woman formerly known as Bruce Jenner, Pratt had compared the two as well.

Stassi Schroeder is returning to 'Vanderpump Rules' for season 5

After filming the 2nd season of Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder moved to New York City to live with her boyfriend, Patrick Meagher, and took a step back from filming the reality show. However, while Schroeder has been featured only in a part-time role for the past couple of seasons, her season 5 role appears to have been increased. In recent weeks, as the cast continues filming, Schroeder has been frequently seen with her co-stars and continues to stay close to Katie Maloney, who will wed Tom Schwartz next month. She was even seen spending time with her former on-screen nemesis, Scheana Marie.

Is Stassi Schroeder still having relationship trouble?

Schroeder and Meagher experienced plenty of relationship trouble during season four and season five may feature the same drama.

Although the couple has yet to announce a split, or anything of the sort, it has been months since Schroeder shared photos of herself and Meagher, which doesn't exactly hint that they are going strong.

Stassi Schroeder and cast members of Vanderpump Rules are expected to return to Bravo sometime later this year for season five. Thus far, the premiere date remains unconfirmed.
