How many people died in Game of Thrones 6x10? In the amazing season finale, a lot of main characters died as well as a lot of common citizens. Here's the list of the characters who died in the last episode, with an esteem of how many lost their livesin the destruction of the Sept of Baelor in King's Landing.

- Grand Maester Pycelle, killed by Qyburn's little birds
- Lancel Lannister, wounded by one of Qyburn's little birds, killed by wildfire
- The High Sparrow, killed in the wildfire explosion
- Margaery Tyrell, killed in the wildfire explosion
- Loras Tyrell, killed in the wildfire explosion
- Mace Tyrell, killed in the wildfire explosion
- Kevan Lannister, killed in the wildfire explosion
- Tommen Baratheon, suicide
- Black Walder, killed by Arya Stark
- Lothar, killed by Arya Stark
- Walder Frey, killed by Arya Stark.
Cersei Lannister is responsible for the dead of all the characters above except the Freys.
Since Tommen Baratheon's suicide is strongly connected with the destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor (in which his wife, his uncle and his cousin died) Cersei is clearly responsible for his death as well.
How many people died in the Sept of Baelor?
If you click on the pictures above you can scroll through the photo gallery. In the second picture, you can see Margaery facing the High Sparrow in the Sept of Baelor. We counted more than 120 people in the picture and these people occupy less than half of the space in the Sept, therefore we can deduce that at least 250 people died in the explosion (probably more). Very possibly many other people died outside the Sept of Baelor, so we think it's safe to say that at least 300people died inKing's Landing.
Why all these people were killed.
All the people who died in King's Landing lost their livesdue to Cersei and Qyburn's plan to evade Cersei's trial, rule Westeros and destroy both the Faith Militant and the Tyrells. Walder Frey and his sons Lothar and Black Walder were killed by Arya in order to get revenge for the Red Wedding.
