Weddings are quite stressful, mostly because of the fact that everyone keeps saying that, it's the best day of our lives. I know this because, I have been around one too many weddings, where a week before the wedding the bride gets too anxious to eat, or even do anything at all. Anxiety isn't one of the best feelings to go through, especially on the day before the wedding.

It's quite comforting, to know that even picture perfect celebrities with full glam squads at their beck and call, who have access to the top dermatologists from across the globe, experience similar stress levels featuring breakouts, eczema, bumps, and redness of the skin.

About the candid Instagram photo she shared

Solange Knowles revealed that on the day of her wedding (a day that the world expects you to be exceptionally perfect as if you had just stepped out of a magazine cover), the celebrity broke out in hives.

Hives which are also known as urticaria, weals, welts, or nettle rash - is a raised, itchy rash that appears on the skin. It may appear on one part of the body or spread across the body. The rash is usually very itchy and ranges in size from a few millimeters to the size of a hand. They are commonly caused by an allergic reaction to food, fragrance or even stress and usually, they subside within 24 hours.

She captioned the photo "my favorite (and most true to myself) selfie." According to the Daily Mail UK, she posted about the breakouts on her wedding day in 2014.

She wrote " Got 'em from turning up x100 during our second line I was hot, wearing a cape, and happy as hell :) "

Lessons from Solange

The lesson to take from Solange Knowles is that celebrities are just people too - who also have similar problems we have; maybe the only difference is that they just have better clothes and shoes.

The second is that there's no such thing as the 'Perfect Bride'. You can, in fact, have something unexpected happen at your wedding and still have the best day of your life. Or maybe, it's not the best day of your life, and that's okay too. You'll have momentous days in the future.

And finally, Solange's definition of a 'perfect bride' is the bride who loves the best photo of herself looking 'imperfect'.

This is because, your wedding is the time to focus on what really matters - which is, marrying the love of your life and having your favorite people celebrate with you, with killer moves, and, if you're lucky, a wedding cape as well.
