U.S. President Donald Trump again showed how gullible he is when it comes to the former KGB spy and current Russian President Vladimir Putin. The best proof of this is a line uttered by Putin which, in essence, is another denial that Russia was involved in the hacking of the 2016 U.S. election which delivered the presidency to the real estate billionaire.

When the two leaders had their undisclosed second meeting at the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany, Putin told Trump that Russia’s hackers are allegedly so good at covert computer-network operations that if they hacked a computer system, their victim would not be able to detect there was a hacking.

Scaramucci tattles the same lie

When Anthony Scaramucci was appointed communications director of the White House – which made Press Secretary Sean Spicer resign in a huff on the same day – Trump apparently shared Putin’s boast about the high quality of the work of Russian cyber criminals that the gullible American president believed it hook, line, and sinker.

Despite being a Wall Street financier, Scaramucci, appears to also fall for the same Putin lie and even spread the same story to CNN host Jake Tapper on Sunday. However, the tattler that Scaramucci is, he tried to play coy and said he would not reveal the source of that alternative fact. Upon questioning by Tapper, the communications director admitted it came from Trump who cited Putin as the source of the boast, The Independent reported.

DNC hack

The reference of Putin to the well-done hacking job was the one done by the Democratic National Committee in 2016, not in the electoral system of the U.S., Business Insider reported. Experts and intelligence officials, however, concluded that Moscow hackers did not even try to hide their hacking efforts since the objective of their criminal activity as to undermine the legitimacy of the U.S.

election, it did not matter if it was Trump or Hillary Clinton who would win.

In March, at a House Intelligence Committee hearing, before he was fired by Trump, FBI Director James Comey said the Russian cyber criminals were unusually loud in their intervention. “It’s almost as if they didn’t care that we know,” Comey added. By being loud about their hacking activity, the Russians even counted on Americans, who would be freaked out about the hacking, would even amplify what the hackers did.

It is so ironic that Trump, who would jump at every opportunity to denounce the alleged fake news from mainstream media, would even broadcast Putin’s alternative facts using Scaramucci as his puppet.
