Everyone knew that there was no one that was going to get in the way of the Cavaliers' and Warriors' ultimate goal of getting back to the Finals. It’s incredible that the rematch will be next week, starting June 1st. The first two series were great, but the trilogy might just be the best one of them all. This series has the makings of one of the best of all-time. It will be hard to see either team lose four games in the series, but that’s what makes this NBA Finals so exciting. This series could be one that fans from both teams will never forget.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James will be in their third consecutive NBA Finals. James will make his 7th straight finals appearance and 8th overall. The Cavaliers will come in to the Finals with a 12-1 record and are hoping to win back-to-back championships for the first time ever in Cavaliers history. It will be a tough task as they will face the reloaded Warriors. The Cavaliers know that it will be next to impossible to knock off the juggernaut that is the Golden State Warriors.

Even though the Warriors may have one of the best offenses ever, the Cavaliers are not too far behind. When Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are playing like All-Stars it’s really hard to imagine that they could lose.

LeBron James knows that he will have to be at his very best for his team to have a chance. This series could define his status as one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball. It will be a tall order, but the Cavaliers know all too well how to make it through adversity.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will be in their third straight NBA Finals as well, as they will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Warriors are ready to get rid of the memory of blowing a 3-1 series lead last year. The Warriors were able to reload their roster with NBA Superstar Kevin Durant after he decided to join the team last July. It is really an incredible run that the Warriors are on.

They have been the best team for the last three years and were one win away from being back-to-back NBA champions.

Even though they now know what it takes to win the title, the pressure is on for them to win. It’s hard to pick the Warriors over the Cavaliers because the teams are so evenly matched. The Warriors will have to play the way they did in the Western Conference Finals to beat the Cavaliers. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant will all have to be at their very best to beat the defending champions and regain the NBA title.
