“Fox and Friends” host Abby Huntsman seemed to slip up when she referred to the United States President Donald Trump as a dictator. The incident happened Sunday, during the early morning news/talk show program, when host Abby Huntsman referred to both leaders as “two dictators.”
“Anthony, talk to us about this moment,” Huntsman began, “I mean, this is history, we are living history. Regardless of what happens in that meeting between the two dictators, what we are seeing right now, this is history.”
The comment seemed to go unnoticed, at the time, by both Huntsman and her guest, Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired as White House communications director after ten days in office in 2017.
According to the HuffPost, Scaramucci continued discussing the historical summit in Singapore, brushing right pass Huntsman’s error. Instead, Mr. Scaramucci praised Trump’s foreign policy, and stated that Donald Trump is a “disruptive risk-taker."
Later in the show, Abby Huntsman issued an apology to both the president and Kim Jong-un for calling both leaders dictators on live television. “I called both President Trump and Kim Jong-un a dictator. I did not mean that. My mistake. So, I apologize for that.”
Donald Trump has not made a comment regarding Abby Huntsman’s slip up.
Donald Trump arrived in Singapore
Both US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, arrived in Singapore for Tuesday’s (June 12) historical summit at the Capella Hotel.
According to CNN, Donald Trump revealed his strategy regarding his talk with Kim Jong-un, telling reporters it would be partially improvisational. Trump stated that he feels he doesn’t have to “prepare very much.”
According to Newsweek, at the G-7 summit last weekend, Donald Trump stated that his strategies are more “spur-of-the-moment.” CNN reported, that Trump also revealed, during a press conference, that he believes that it will take more than one meeting to resolve issues that divide our countries.
What is to be expected from the summit?
The summit between the US president and the North Korean leader, has the power to alter the world for better or for worse. In previous months, the two leaders have exchanged insults that sparked an international fear of nuclear war. Donald Trump will discuss with Kim Jong-un, about discontinuing the North Korean nuclear program and ending all nuclear and missile testing.
The meeting between the two leaders arrives at a most urgent time in our history. According to CNN, Ballistic missile tests that North Korea has launched proved that a North Korean nuclear bomb could reach US mainland.
