Adult Film Star Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels is back, only this time she is suing the president. Two months ago rumors of her relationship with Donald Trump became public knowledge and gained more attention after The Wall Street Journal uncovered proof of a bank transaction between Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen and Stephanie.

According to NBC news, the civil suit filed in Los Angeles alleges that the non-disclosure agreement between the actor and Trump was void as Mr. Trump never signed the document. The lawsuit also states that both Stephanie's former lawyer and Michael Cohen signed the agreement.

On October 2016, Clifford signed the non-disclosure agreement alongside another side-letter agreement. This happened days before the presidential election. Cohen also signed the letter the same day. Both contracts were presented in court as Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2.

Details of the alleged relationship

Michael Avenatti, Stephanie’s lawyer, announced on Wednesday that he and Ms. Clifford would be suing the president. According to the lawsuit Clifford and Trump had an intimate relationship that lasted from 2006 and well into the year 2017. The two apparently met at the Beverly Hills Hotel and Lake Tahoe resort. Details of the agreement between the two parties explained that $130,000 would be paid to the trust account of Clifford's former lawyer.

Upon receiving the payment, Clifford would agree not to disclose any photos nor information about her relationship with Trump to anyone else except the short list of people she had already told.

The suit also claims that Michael Cohen contacted Stephanie on February 27, 2018, in an attempt to silence her. Clifford claims her motive for filing the lawsuit is because she wants the truth to be public and not for financial gain.

Stephanie and Avenatti are asking the Los Angeles Superior court to declare the hush agreement void as Mr. Trump never signed any of the agreements; therefore they do not exist.

No response from the White House

In the suit, Clifford insists Michael Cohen is trying to silence her which supposedly means the president is aware of Cohen’s actions.

The New York bar states that a lawyer is supposed to keep the client informed at all times which may suggest either Trump is aware of his attorney's actions or Mr. Cohen is acting on his own accord. The president has never issued any comment regarding the alleged relationship.
